Princess Leia Before Weight Watchers

Sunday, we went to the mall in Cincinnati [very nice] and they had a...Lego store. At this point in my life, it's the equivalent of taking your daughter to the American Girl store. The boys loved it. I took pictures...but my computer crashed last night so this will have to do.

I saw this there...

Seriously though...how perfectly balanced is she? Buns & Guns.
She's the perfect princess.

FILLING UP THE CALENDAR
I found out that the local library has a [free] story time/music class on Wednesday mornings...check. I also signed Nation up for soccer at the YMCA [practice one night a week and games on Saturdays].

While there I heard about a homeschool program they have on Fridays. It's $4 a child for two hours. They do structured games for one hour and the second hour is free play [includes swimming].

Add one day having lunch with Charles, one day at a bounce house and one day at the Children's Museum [or Mall] and that's probably going to be our Fall in-door schedule when it cools off.

Meanwhile, we'll keep hitting up the parks & pool as long as we can. Keeping the kids inside the apartment all day would give anyone cabin fever...or some fatal rash.

Ohhhh the life of a soccer mom.

BETH MOORE
At Riverstone, our home church in Atlanta, I really have enjoyed attending the Beth Moore studies on Revelation& Proverbs. The women's group is about to begin the study called Breaking Free. I ordered it off eBay today for a steal and plan to see if anyone else in the apartment complex would like to join me in the movie room once a week to watch & discuss. Pray God brings the right people if this is His will. Either way, I'm excited to follow along with my gals back home.

The church is also starting small group chapter studies in the Word. Our small group is doing Nehemiah, so we'll be following along here in Ohio with them as well.

RUNNING
I'm now entering week 4 of Couch to 5K. I've still be able to easily progress even though I've only run 2 days a week verses 3 [like suggested]. Hopeful to make 3 this week.

COOL LINKS
Online interactive site for Pre-K/Kindergarten that Nation has enjoyed this week:

NATIONISMS:
Today Nation told that his stomach was so full his heart was having a hard time having room to make good choices.

  1. Love the Nationism! He is a mess :)
My kids don't know the LEGO store exists (yet). I guess we need to go and check it out! Maybe we could do that when we come to visit :)
Sounds like you will be keeping yourself busy with fun activities!

  2. It's 1:29 AM, I should be in bed, but since I'm not, I think I'll write a long comment :)
First, the Lego store sounds fun! I can't wait until Eli is ready for them. Then again, those suckers hurt when stepped on... Okay, I'll wait a little longer (not to mention they currently present a choking hazard).
Second, please continue to share your progress on Couch to 5K, I'm hoping that it will rub off on me.
    Third, Starfall rocks!
Fourth, I'm considering Nation's words, maybe that's what was wrong with my Melody today? She was having A LOT of trouble making good choices. Tomorrow, it's thin soup and the crusts of day-old bread for her, I don't want to fill her too full. I'll let you know if it helps.

  3. Ok, so Nation cracks me up!!! He is too funny!! David once told me that he wanted dessert (after he had told me he was full). I questioned him saying he was full and his response was "I am, but my dessert belly is NOT!!" :-)
We LOVE the LEGO store!! You know there is one here right?? I have also found a cheap site to find really cool pieces.
I am happy you got Nation in soccer. We, too signed up at the "Y". But our group is not doing practice and just having games on Saturdays. When I asked why the main coah said that they like the kids to have fun and get used to playing. Won't they be in for a surprise when David hogs the ball the WHOLE time b/c he is just having fun!! LOL!
Glad you all are enjoying your time there!

  7. I really wanted the Pink Lego keychain...it was funny, but the whole time I was in there I kept thinking it was one of the perks of having so many boys.

  9. Eliana has learned alot using starfall.com. Since starting the kindergarten curriculum from My Father's World, I've noticed that she is a little ahead of the curve. She's very close to being able to read and is very motivated. I attribute it to Starfall. Wish there was something like that for math.
